I miss when he used to tweet his fans or just tweet in general. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the pictures and the fact that he takes time out of his day to shoot photos but I’m just having nostalgia.
Religion vs. Atheism
Why does this debate always bring out the worst in people? Yes there are people who have practiced Christianity in some form and carried out horrible acts in the name of their faith. There are some atheists who are not good people. However, there are others on the flip side. Atheists who help out their community. Catholics who use their faith (see Mother Teresa) to make the world a better place. In my opinion, it is not what you choose to believe, but how you use it to define yourself and your actions.
Generalizing helps no one. For example, saying Islamic men and women of faith are all terrorists just spreads hate and reinforces stereotypes. If you want a good comparison, Islamic extremist is to Islamic as the KKK is to Christianity. It is the extreme side of religion that a limited number are actually a part of. There are Muslims, Christians, agnostics, Catholics, Jews, atheists, etc. who are firefighters and police officers. Does what they believe mean they are not helping society?
My point is the world is a complicated place. People are not so black and white. They are not strictly good or evil and therefore should not be put into these boxes based on what they believe.
I honestly missed this during the concert. Ooops.
